STRAIGHT FROM ME
Yes, I know how this sounds.
$150/mo for a custom site, no contract, and nothing upfront. I have been told more than once that this is a bad idea.
So here is exactly how it works. Your domain is in your name from day one and it stays that way. There is no contract, so you can cancel any time. The site files and code become yours after nine payments, and if you want them sooner you can buy them out for the balance. That is the only string, and it is there so the build gets paid for, not to hold your site hostage. Holding sites hostage is the thing I started this company to get away from.
I am betting you stay anyway. Not because you are locked in, but because if the site does its job you are going to want the person who built it still picking up the phone in year three. That is the whole bet. I would rather be worth keeping than hard to leave.
